Working out at “The Gym” has been one of my best experiences I’ve had since I started my workout journey. Everyone is so friendly and supportive. The atmosphere is inspiring and welcoming. Staff are always professional and helpful.

The Gym has all of the equipment anyone would need to reach any bodybuilding goal. The clientele are friendly and supportive, and there is a variety of trainers to help. Vinnie, the owner, is always quick with a motivational statement to help you get started with your workout.

I absolutely love The Gym! It’s become one of my favorite places to be and the people I’ve met there are so great. I’ve been working out there for over a year now and I’m glad this is the gym I chose.

People are helpful. The classes are amazing! Yoga with Amy and boot camp with Tonni. You get something out of each visit, whether the relaxation and stretching from yoga or the burn from boot camp. You leave feeling you got your moneys worth.

Did a drop in Bootcamp session and LOVED IT! The workout was high intensity and tough but the trainers and fellow participants were encouraging. I’ve already signed up for the next one and bringing my son.

This is THE GYM! The owners are amazing , Vinnie is a great coach, everyone is welcome here. You don’t have to be in world’s best shape to have a place at this gym. Totally a game changer!

Have been attending the GYM FITNESS CENTER since August 2023and would like to give a “SHOUT OUT”, to VINNIE CANDELA, my Personal Trainer/ GYM FITNESS CENTER for the Great Job he’s done in helping me to get back on my feet. I can now put down my Cane, walk upright, go buy my own groceries, and, breathing better, lost weight and generally feel so much better.Started this journey at age 81 and soon to be 83 . Nice gym, small but it has everything you need to get a great workout. The staff and owner are all really nice and attentive if you need anything. Next time I’m in the area I’ll definitely be going back

The staff at the Gymn are helpful and knowledgeable. They have a nice variety of machines that allow you to do many types of workouts. We have enjoyed all our exercise sessions there.

I am having a great time at The Gym. The place is CLEAN! I can exercise before work, shower and get to work already feeling accomplished for the day. My trainer, Todd, is great. Check it out! There are folks of all kinds, shapes and ages, all working to get healthier and stronger.

Whenever I’m back home visiting family, this will be my go to gym! I wish I could pick it up and move it to West Michigan so I could train here all the time. This gym truly feels like a second home—super welcoming, clean, and full of great energy. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The equipment is well-maintained, the atmosphere is motivating, and you can tell this place really cares about its members and the community. I always look forward to getting my workouts in here when I’m home. I struggle to be able to find gyms that offer all the equipment for my programming when traveling but The Gym has never missed the mark. Highly recommend to anyone local or visiting!

Got a membership about two months ago and couldn’t be happier. Such a nice gym to workout at. Great verity of machines to use. Every one there is always nice and respectful.

I’ve been coming to this gym for about two years now, and I can honestly say it has been a life-changing experience. Before joining, I had never stepped foot into a gym, and I was initially quite intimidated. However, from the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with open arms by everyone—the front desk staff, the trainers, and even the members. The atmosphere is incredibly supportive, and it truly feels like one big family.

What really sets this gym apart is the knowledge and dedication of the trainers. They not only provide expert guidance but also know exactly when to push me to reach the next level in my fitness journey. I have gained so much confidence and strength since I began. Exercise has become a priority in my life, and I feel so much better physically and mentally because of it.

I’m incredibly grateful for this facility and the wonderful people who make it such a special place. If you’re looking for a welcoming, motivating environment to achieve your fitness goals, this gym is absolutely the place to be.

Highly recommend the red light therapy from radiant recovery located upstairs in the gym. The room is nice and cozy and super relaxing. Stephanie was also very welcoming and explained the process and the benefits.

I was visiting from out of town and did a drop in yoga class, it was amazing! The instructor, Amy, was wonderful and I really liked how she cued the class and kept it flowing.

I wouldn’t recommend any other gym Vinnie and the staff are all friendly helpful and welcoming I’ve been down with The Gym fitness center since 2019 and I’m not going anywhere else 10/10 recommend

I’ve been interested in taking a Boxing class and since I’ve heard nothing but good comments about The GYM I figured I’d chkout the class. I will also be looking to see what other classes they offer. Great gym! This gym compliments all fitness levels from beginner to die hard gym rat. Stumbled on this place while visiting my family in Flint and considering the only gyms in the area is planet fitness and the YMCA it’s refreshing to be able to work out at a real gym. Great branding with the name too. Also the best part is that it’s very affordable for non members. It’s the worst traveling and there not a branch of your home gym where you travel and you have to pay a ridiculous day rate just to workout. The gym makes its all easy.

The Gym is a very welcoming place to workout, I highly recommend it, you can find all ages and fitness levels there. The staff is great and so is the equipment. I joined to combat the effects of treatment for prostate cancer, my trainer Todd has helped me greatly in this.

Found this gym while in town visiting family. Glad I did best gym I’ve ever been to. Vinnie came up and introduced himself and welcomed me. Everyone here was very welcoming. The gym was immaculate and super clean. Definitely will be back every time im in town visiting!!

Love this gym! It took forever to find a more classic gym weight selection coming from Cali back to Michigan. It was disappointing until I came across The Gym here in Flint. Definitely for everyone no matter what level of fitness an individual is at. Super friendly and clean.

Great gym for all! I was completely new to weight lifting and not sure about a lot of the equipment/workouts. So many of the members/staff were so helpful whenever I needed a hand. I was very intimidated at first but quickly warmed up to the kind people around me.

The people are friendly and non-judgmental. I I am extremely overweight and in pretty bad shape. The gym is conveniently located for me. I’d like the equipment they have to work on. I also tried a yoga class, which was very hard for me, but I will continue to pursue it.

Visited the gym for a restorative yoga class and it was amazing. The atmosphere was motivating and I will definitely be back !

A solid gym! I used this gym while in town from Nashville for a few days and equipment was an older style (which I liked) and environment was definitely fit for gym rats or the novice. Good music in the background and friendly staff.

I have been a member here for 2 years and love it. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable and helpful. I have also recieved personal weight training from the owner Vinnie, and he is awesome! I will never train with anyone else. The atmosphere is amazing and all the members are all fitness minded and great to work out with.

I have only gone here a few times, but when I walked in, I felt like this was the gym I was supposed to go to. The young man that signed me up has been very helpful and he’s someone that listens to the members issues. Yes, I would definitely recommend this gym. The people there are friendly and just want to work out, and there has not been any rude or nasty people I have encountered. Everyone has been helpful and polite.

Hands Down this is the Best Gym in Genesee County. The Staff is Amazing, they focus on customer safety, and the Personal Trainers work with you to ensure you obtain your fitness goals.

The hype is not a joke. The Gym is a favorite gym in Michigan. I am not a machine girl, so my favorite parts are the turf and the studio, you can use both! Everyone in here is so friendly; I've never been to a gym before where compliments are given to my workouts regularly. Hit up Vinnie or Vince, both are awesome guys who will get you in shape quick, and they have absolutely no lack in enthusiasm. 👍🏻 If you're in the market for a gym, I say try this one for sure.

I started at the Gym in 2021. Talk about life changing. Vinnie spotted me came up and we had a great conversation and he invited me to consult with an trainer as I was making a huge lifestyle change after getting a few very hard medical diagnosis'. Fast forward to now I had to take over a year off due to complications with my pregnancy and post partum recovery. Due to the recovery I also suffered an injury. But now being cleared I returned. First day Vinnie came up to me and hugged me and said he was glad to see me. All anxiety about coming back without a trainer vanished. He said if you need help let me know but start off easy and he'll help if I ask. And honestly it meant ALOT. You don't just walk into any gym and get treated like family even after taking significant time off. But you will when you walk into The Gym. I look forward to finally getting back on track with my goals surrounded by my Gym family.

I have been working out and training with Vinnie at the Gym for the last 9 months. Over those 9 months I have lost over 25 lbs and gained so much self confidence. Vinnie does an amazing job making you feel great about yourself and motivating you to keep working hard. He pushes you each workout and helps give you a diet to follow as well. For more than three years, I have been a loyal member of this gym and I keep growing stronger and healthier. Vinnie, whom I affectionately call grandpa, has been my mentor and friend throughout this journey. He always motivates me to work out, even when I have limited time. He holds me accountable for my goals, but also empathizes with my challenges. He makes exercising enjoyable and rewarding, while challenging me to push myself. The staff are also very helpful and knowledgeable. They can assist me with anything, from demonstrating how to use a machine to recommending the best amino acids for a low-calorie energy smoothie. Since I resumed working out with him in January, I have lost over 30 pounds and gained some muscle along the way. And I did all this while working three jobs. Grandpa, you are an inspiration to me and many others. Thank you for everything!

Fantastic facility and environment for bodybuilding competitors, and advanced lifters. I’ve been a member for over 5 years and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon

TGFC is an open gym with trainers, yoga classes, and massage. But its crowning jewel is Feo Duncan, who teaches step class Thursday nights and strength training Saturday mornings. Every class is different and a little out of your comfort zone. He knows your body and what it can do, and all of us are so much stronger because of him.

This location in the plaza seemed more spacious to me, but this is an impressive gym. The work and dedication of Vinny, his clients, and trainers put in is chef's kiss.

The Gym is a great gym with tons of equipment, lots of free weights, medicine balls, and even battle ropes! I got a really great work out when I went. The owners and staff are super nice. One of the nicest perks is that they have a massage studio with an excellent massage therapist named Cailen who really knows her stuff! Make sure to make that part of your stop when you go to The Gym.

This gym has it all going on for both the veteran weightlifter and yoga fans.

Recently joined The Gym and am enjoying the experience so far. This is a great facility, reasonably priced with a very energetic community. Also training in owner Vinnie's small classes. He works you hard but is very motivating, uplifting, fun!

I recently joined The Gym and have loved it. I was a 25+ year member of Hurley Health and Fitness and tried several other local Fitness Centers. Two key things about joining a gym is showing up and having a helpful staff that truly cares. Vinnie cares about everyone’s success to achieve their goal. Also very important to me are the friendships we all gain working out together. The Gym’s new location is awesome with plenty of lockers and also large showers. If you are looking for a new gym, I highly suggest trying The Gym , whether you are a power lifter or someone trying to stay in shape. The Gym fits all needs to conquer your goals.

Great place my whole family goes to this gym. Everyone at the gym is super friendly. Vinnie trains not just me but my entire family. Working out with Vinnie is something we all look forward to every day.

Greatest gym ever! The vibe is just great, the owner is the nicest, most welcoming guy ever. My husband and I live out of state but when we are back in Michigan visiting family this is our go-to gym. We wish we had one like this back home! Highly recommend for beginners or advanced gym goers - all of the members and staff are so warm and friendly as well, we look forward to coming back!!

I live in Alabama and came to Flint to visit family for Xmas, I found this gym on google and I was blown away by the excellent customer service that I received. Everyone was super friendly, patrons and staff! I’ll make this my gym every time I come home to visit!

Purchased a day pass to try out this fitness center. Very friendly, clean, no pressure atmosphere. I have a regular gym I am a member at. I was in the area and decided to try this gym out for a change. Very nice.

Vinny is great the staff is great the facility is great people who go there tend to want to work out and not chit chat but there is chit chat if there is need I love it and we'll only be working out there as long as I can.

I have been going here for about a month now and the employees have been great. The gym has pretty much everything even it’s own smoothie bar, although I do wish the gym would open earlier. All in all great place to go workout.

The staff is always warm and friendly when you walk through the door, the facility is immaculate! I could not ask for a better place to work out.

The Gym is a very professional and yet comfortable gym. Vinnie and Vincent are two of the most positive, and knowledgeable trainers I have ever met. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and customer oriented. The gym has a wider array of equipment than I have seen anywhere else. I would recommend this gym to any and all skill levels.

Its a great gym with a lot of equipment. All of the good gyms cost a little more but this was one of the best ones, plus they had a really good deal for college students and that helped me out a lot.

I started a hip-hop exercise class @ The Gym Fitness Center! It was so much fun! I've searched for a class like this for a long time and finally found what I was looking for! High energy & intense burn! Plus the instructor Feo was awesome!

I have to admit I was very skeptical about this gym because I’ve had bad experiences elsewhere. However, after researching, I felt drawn to this place, so I visited and decided to join as well as get a personal trainer to achieve my goals and help me transform my body and my life. I have lots of baby and life weight to knock off! I’m super impressed by the gym, the atmosphere can be a little intimidating for many reasons, but I work out in a small class atmosphere where all walks of life come to improve their fitness. It is so well rounded and I’ve come to think of the people I’ve met as my family.Vinnie is a wonderful trainer and I have seen progression and results faster than I ever thought possible. I remember a month ago when I was struggling with SOUP CANS and 5lb dumbbells lol. And now I’m increasing weights every single week and everything has been amazing. I get the push and confidence I need until I’m at a point where I feel confident enough to not feel so insecure and I’ve learned it isn’t what the scale says, it’s how you feel. And prior to this I was inactive for approximately 9 years, I wasn’t even walking. This gym and my trainer have completely changed my life and I’m proud to be a member there.

Going to the GYM is the bright spot of my day. Working out with Vin, although tough, is so satisfying. The people are so friendly, it’s almost like a big family.

Have been coming here for years and love it. There is a wide range of machines that allow you to target specific muscle groups or several at once. I am always using the hammer strength machines which are my favorite. The gym itself is always very clean and the machines are well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for a great gym, this is it! I've been working out here for 2 years now and I've lost over 70 pounds. There are people working out at all fitness levels, trainers, boot camps, yoga and other classes available. The owners and trainers are always willing to answer any questions or correct your form if needed. The equipment is well maintained and the gym is spotless! There is even a smoothie bar and massage therapist on site. The other members are friendly and inspiring, it's like a big family! I love this gym and highly recommend it for anyone who wants to make fitness a part of their self care routine!

The Gym is my home away from home! I’m there pretty much everyday of the week, and sometimes even twice a day. The awesome staff, as well as membership are all helpful, supportive, friendly and just beautiful spirits to be in the company of. The gym is equipped with everything from various types of cardio machines, hammer strength equipment, cable systems, weights galore, chains, etc...and anything else you can think of. I totally recommend The Gym to everyone.

I did cardio kickboxing class and was very impressed with the facility, the class and the instructor, Trevor. He was very kind and encouraging while still pushing me to my limits. This place is great, their line up of trainers is amazing, there is lots of equipment to choose from, everything was very clean and I got an incredible work out. Will definitely be going back!

Hands down the best GYM in town!

For the price of a cheap date anyone can train here for a month and get excellent results.Lots of good stuff here; speciality bars, power racks, nice cardio machines, and a freaking MONOLIFT.No other gym in the area has a monolift.Easily the best gym around for powerlifting and bodybuilding and great one for general fitness and athleticism.I wish there were a sauna and hot tub, but that's asking a lot for the price!My only complaint would be that I wish it were open until midnight so I can do long late training sessions.Staff is always polite and helpful, the trainers are excellent, knowledgeable, and professional, and the fellow members are highly motivated; all of which creates an environment where working hard and getting results and having fun are inevitable.5/5

Jeez... Where do you start.1. As a former NCAA div 1 wrestler I have trained at some of the best gyms and centers in the US. The equipment here is on par withl U of M , OSU, and some of the olympic training programs I have been to.2. The members are superb. They are from all walks of life and bring a great deal of camaraderie and respect to the floor.3. The staff is outstanding. Had a chance to meet the owner and his family. Needless to say this is MY GYM.Believe me.... If you want to improve your life and improve your fitness this is the best facility in Genesee County hands down.Good luck!

Friendly staff and by far the best gym atmosphere I've ever been in. Good amount of equipment and bootcamp is offered and also an on staff masseuse. Love that there's a lot of room to move around too and enough room to do things like lunges too. Couldn't be happier with the switch I made to here from my old gym. 😀

The Gym is full of people that support one another. It is truly an atmosphere of family as compared to other gyms where people become self conscious of what people around them are thinking. Even more importantly, you see and know what you're paying for. You see the updates, the maintenance, and Vinnie (the owner), is there just about EVERY day. It isn't corporate America trying to feed off of people's desire to become healthier, but a business fueled by people who love their bodies and want to take care of them and an owner that shares that passion. I tried a different gym for a little under a month as i have free access to it on campus. I made it about 3 weeks before i came back to the gym. love love love it.

By far one of the best gyms I have been to. Equipment is always available and clean. The owner, Vinnie, is a extremely intelligent and is one of the few people I have met that gives advice and help based on a personal level and not just a cookie cutter exercises. He and his staff provide the knowledge base and know-how that can help ANYONE to achieve their fitness goals. My personal favorite is that they open early (6am) and that they have many unique bars and machines that can not be found anywhere else!!!
